Listens We Can’t Stop Talking About

As self-proclaimed true crime junkies, at our weekly management meeting, we could not stop talking about Dateline's "The Thing About Pam." With only six 30 min episodes, this is BINGE-WORTHY. We're talkin' jaw dropping, head shaking, want to slap Pam Hupp, because she's part bad actress, part compulsive liar and all things evil. The best/worst protagonist who rumor has it - will be played by Renée Zellweger, so jump on this crazy train before the movie comes out.

What a WOW episode of Invisibilia! This one dives into how others' expectations can affect the people around them. We learned about Daniel Kish, who is blind but never lets the preconceived notions of being blind limit him. Kudos to his mom, who encouraged Daniel to make the world his playground.

We love the story of Allbirds and have so much respect for the company. Like us, they focus on providing the most comfortable product while striving to do right by the environment. They've nailed it. #companygoals

We loved episode 235 where they discussed how the pandemic has disrupted education, work opportunities and future planning for countless young people. Topics that are truly relevant to right now.

Sustainability

We just love the story of Allbirds and have so much respect for the company. They build in the cost of sustainability for all products. They are always striving to do what's best.

Buying in multiples is great for food or household items but in our world, disposable cheap fashion or furniture. That seems so wasteful. The message - spend a little bit more upfront for quality and you will still save money in the long run and consume less.

When thinking about film production and all the waste (food, wardrobe, sets, etc) it only makes sense to have an eco focus. Nice work Green Angels!

These guys did not design method for green people. They designed method for the 95% of people who are not green and might be drawn to it due to the unique design.

Giving & Kindness

In episode 77, they interview Jon Dean about his new book The Good Glow: Clarity and the Symbolic Power of Doing Good. We loved this particular episode as they ask the very important question "Is the “warm glow” of giving always dependent on one’s acts being visible to others, or can it be entirely personal?"

We loved episode 235 where they discussed how the pandemic has disrupted education, work opportunities and future planning for countless young people. Topics that are truly relevant to right now.

In episode 92 Conan, our dream man, interviews Michelle Obama, my dream woman. I mean, what more do we need to say?

The episode posted on Sept. 16th, 2020 features an interview with the Holderness Family. We loved hearing about our favorite parody song family and how quick they are able to turn out content that makes me crack a smile.
